In April 2025, the unique GreenKidz mini-documentary “Giving Back, Moving Forward” was completed. This documentary, which looks back on 10 years of GreenKidz and looks ahead to the future, was funded by the Caribbean Cultural Fund, Rotary Club Curacao, and LionsDive Beach Resort.

The documentary was made by Lisa Koppes, a young talented documentary maker, and tells the story of the GreenKidz Foundation through the eyes of founder and daily coordinator Maya Mathias and enthusiastic guest lecturer Remyson Caldera.

The documentary shows how GreenKidz developed over ten years (2015-2025) into a unique foundation with a major impact on Curaçao. It offers an intimate portrait of founder Maya Mathias and the highs and lows she experienced during this period.

The documentary not only looks back, but also looks ahead to how the foundation wants to develop over the next decade. With this vulnerable documentary, Maya Mathias and Lisa Koppes hope to touch and inspire others to get involved in their communities.
