Maya Mathias invited to a royal lunch
On April 26, 2023, GreenKidz founder Maya Mathias, along with 99 other invited guests, participated in a royal lunch at the palace Huis ten Bosch in The Hague. The festive lunch marked the 10-year reign of King Willem Alexander and highlighted 100 individuals from the Kingdom for their commitment to society.

Mathias: ‘It was a very special experience to have lunch with the King and a wonderful recognition for what our GreenKidz Foundation has achieved over the past 8 years.’ Together with 4 other guests from the Dutch Caribbean, we enjoyed the hospitality of the king, his wife and his mother and met many passionate Dutch volunteers.
The GreenKidz Foundation was established in 2015 with the goal of ‘Changing the mindset of generations’. In recent years we have reached thousands of students and hundreds of teachers with modern, multilingual environmental education. In the coming years we will focus on young people throughout the Dutch Caribbean with innovative nature and environmental education and (digital) learning programs.
