Kliko Challenge Award Ceremony
On March 8th, 2024, GreenKidz took part in the Kliko Challenge award ceremony at Selikor, finalizing the hugely successful Kliko Challenge project. During this ceromony, attended by more than 100 guests, 3 secondary AGO/ VSBO schools were awarded public and jury prizes for the Kliko’s (garbage bins) they had painted under guidance of local artists.

The project, initiated by the Passionistas Foundation, offered Curacaos five AGO/VSBO secondary schools classroom lessons about plastic and recycling, outdoor nature and art excursions and painting sessions in which each school painted a kliko representing their vison for a clean and green island. GreenKidz was asked to design the classroom lessons on litter, waste, plastic and recycling to specifically meet the needs of AGO students and GreenKidz teacher Remyson Caldera made these lessons a huge success.
GreenKidz looks forward to working with the Passionistas foundation on more educational and creative projects in the future leading towards a greener, cleaner and healthier Dutch Caribbean and changing the mindset of generations !
The GreenKidz Foundation was established in 2015 with the goal of ‘Changing the mindset of generations’. In recent years we have reached thousands of students and hundreds of teachers with modern, multilingual environmental education. In the coming years we will focus on young people throughout the Dutch Caribbean with innovative nature and environmental education and (digital) learning programs.
