GreenKidz gifts thousand Caribbean Coloring Books to Special Needs Students

Thanks to donations from companies and individuals, GreenKidz was able to gift one thousand
Caribbean coloring books to special needs students in Curaçao.

Maya Mathias, GreenKidz Coordinator: 'This is the 5th year we are giving away books to all SO schools in
Curaçao. This year we also executed a guest lesson at each school, and it is wonderful how warmly we
were welcomed at these schools.'

Educational coloring book about nature and the environment

In 2023, GreenKidz developed a unique Caribbean coloring book with beautiful coloring sheets and
images of Curaçao's nature and environment. Mathias: ‘Our coloring book consists of 22 coloring sheets
and 6 beautiful full color images, drawn by local illustrators.

Children enjoy them immensely. They immediately recognize their own island, and their own nature and
teachers can do fun assignments in class with the full color images (kijkplaten) about litter and waste\,
mosquito prevention and our coral reef.

Mathias: The coloring books will soon be available in three languages (PAP, NED and ENG) and will also
be available in various shops and hotels. The proceeds are specifically intended to carry out as many
guest lessons as possible for Regular and Special Education in Curaçao.

In addition, the coloring book, contains great information about our 4 guest lessons we execute at
schools and how you can request them as a school or sponsor them as a company. Finally, our coloring
book also contains information about our mission and ambitions in the future. GreenKidz will also
investigate whether this unique educational coloring book can also be added to Company Christmas
packages.

Inclusive mission for regular and special needs schools!
The GreenKidz Foundation has been contributing to free nature and environmental education for 9
years, reaching thousands of students with modern bilingual teaching materials, which can be freely
downloaded at www.greenkidz.org.

The foundation depends on funds, sponsors, and donors.
Mathias: It is heartwarming how companies, service clubs and private donors support our projects
every year and how warmly we are welcomed at these special schools. We find it very important to be
inclusive and provide both regular and special schools with our guest lectures and teaching materials.
